Unspoken

We all hold  thoughts in our hearts
Yet we keep them too long that they are already silenced
Without a voice, without a will
No matter the longing, it remains unspoken

Too much thinking, too much waiting
Both neither benefit but both hurt
It is up to us which to prefer
It is up to us which to neglect

Time passes by and seasons go change
Yet the heart remains at standstill
Nothing's accomplished except a wrinkle in the eye
But would it help to finally take a step and speak?

Only time can tell, only it will
Knowing is better than not
Finding brings answers and peace, or not
But it takes courage for that one small step.

Justice in waiting

"Justice delayed, justice denied."

Saigo made matte'ru..

When the end comes yet there is none
The justice I've longed and asked for
I will speak of it but only if you ask.
Know then for sure that I waited
With patience of mercy and gentle endurance
And you will not question why.

You will let go and have nothing to bargain
For certainly I have none left to give
Neither is left on the table for us both.
Days and weeks have gone past
Months turned into season and more
Yet I held ground with hope.

Justice I sought for surely the day will come
That heavens shall answer with righteous judgment
Not even the universe can withstand.
So go now and give me what I ask
Before time ends for both of us
For until then my peace I shall hold.

Thoughts back to the tribe

To return to the tribe, that is the longing.
Nonetheless, a full reckoning must take place.
Yet it has always been the case.
So now patience must take endurance.
And as there is a price to pay
So shall the costs be accounted in full.

Yet time is always on its own
Coursing through the seasons
Day and night, weeks and months.
Never take eyes off the horizon.
Keep watch until the universe answers.
In so doing, keep the front well.

Recalling the days and years past
Revealed are the times dismissed and lost.
The offers and chances may no longer linger
Yet new ones can be sought and wrought.
Time again shall be the matter in question.
Shall it now be a friend or a foe?

Burst.

Ima doko; this I want to ask.
Tu me manques; this I want to say.
But my lips are sealed.
My tongue is tied and mum.

Words are held back.
Thoughts are blocked.
Moves are withheld.
Intents are doubted.

In a corner the silence witnessed,
Beyond reach the space noticed.
Stolen glance albeit trying hard
Never escaped the ever silent air.

For days hidden deep within
Desires gone and kept unseen.
Things yet to come are waiting
Hopefully to go places never been.

Attempts were made with caution
that only the Lord of the heavens know.
Seen and revealed from His throne
were thoughts, words, and deeds unknown.

The Post Agony Poem

Life's gonna be tough.
You'll have to fight through,
Even in your own head to remember.
Believe that God's promises are true.

Seek the One who loves you.
Troubles may cloud your sight,
So will sadness choke your faith.
But press on for His love remains.

In sadness find solace.
In the desert seek the spring,
The life-giving water for your soul.
In the wilderness find true strength.

This I wrote while having (or right after?) dinner earlier. This is my first prose using modern tongue. By that I mean using words commonly spoken in today's English. Normally, I would never use "gonna" in a poem. But I did so this time as it was the first word that came to mind when I started this poem.

I still don't have an official title to this poem. This is unedited, like most of my poems, and I intend to keep it that way. Raw, impromptu, that's my style.

As to why I had this written, it was because of the burden and heavy heart I had when I was leaving the workplace. Well, I technically no longer work there. I'm off the payroll and I'm at the mercy of my Godmother. Back to my reason, it was not easy for me to have that 'feeling' for I was enveloped with melancholy and almost agony. Well, it was an agony. I had to fight the impending depression. I had to remember what and who really matters. I had to remind myself of God's promises. I had to sing, and not without difficulty, hymns declaring who God is. It was too much but I had to press on.

The words that mostly ring inside my head this past week were my favourite lines from two admirable people. One was from Ate Faye, who has mentored/discipled me for years. She was and still is such a blessing. This I first heard from her: When the going gets tough, the tough gets going. How true. As for the other thing that I am always reminded of was Winston Churchill's. If you're going through hell, keep going. Yes. Keep going.

No matter what's going on, it goes back to (my previous blog entry's point) my real Master. Like what I was reminded of a couple of days ago, I am working for God. If this is the work that God wants me to have, so be it. I am the LORD's servant. Let His will be done and His name glorified.

Mercy and Grace

This shall be without preparation.
Let the words flow without inhibition.
Hold nothing back, just let the truth in.
Wait and you will see the words unspoken.

For days and weeks have gone by
Patience exercised, mercy not withheld.
Tact kept, grace fully given
Yes, grace was graciously given.

Disappointments were ever present
Yet and yet mercy was shown.
Question now asked and will always be
"What have become of thee?"

Albeit it all, the things missed and undone,
Count those done but brought trouble;
Still the kindness was shown
Mercy and grace led you down the road.

Wait not for judgment day to come
I beg of you not to.
For great is that day
And I shall have none to save you.

Unknown are my ways, unseen are my means.
But heavens know how I beg and the wind hears my sobs.
Night and day the heart whispers
For salvation and redemption to come.

Mercy keeps you from downfall.
Grace is there to give you space.
With kindness, both should be enough.
Come and prove yourself worthy.

Like Arwen, no one is worthy of her but the king.
Like Aragorn, heir he is but he had fought.
So come and reveal yourself
Let the true intent of the heart be laid.

Should evil be there, not even malice
Then parting ways is more than enough.
For neither is acceptable before the king
Never before the one who truly rules.

Adieu? Au revoir?

Goodbye or see you again?
I wish I knew. I wish I know.
Got no idea right now, but I'm hoping I would.
I would love to. I would love to.

Darling, do you remember?
Oh dear, the memory remains vivid.
It was not of admiration or anything close.
Rather it was wonder and close to contempt.

But who would've thought you could tickle my mind?
Wonder of wonders and albeit it all
I know these and those yet they are dismissed.
If you wonder, go and ask Peter.

Questions and more,
The answer comes nowhere close.
Yet I do wait for patience is a virtue.
But shall it come? Until when?
