Mercy and Grace

This shall be without preparation.
Let the words flow without inhibition.
Hold nothing back, just let the truth in.
Wait and you will see the words unspoken.

For days and weeks have gone by
Patience exercised, mercy not withheld.
Tact kept, grace fully given
Yes, grace was graciously given.

Disappointments were ever present
Yet and yet mercy was shown.
Question now asked and will always be
"What have become of thee?"

Albeit it all, the things missed and undone,
Count those done but brought trouble;
Still the kindness was shown
Mercy and grace led you down the road.

Wait not for judgment day to come
I beg of you not to.
For great is that day
And I shall have none to save you.

Unknown are my ways, unseen are my means.
But heavens know how I beg and the wind hears my sobs.
Night and day the heart whispers
For salvation and redemption to come.

Mercy keeps you from downfall.
Grace is there to give you space.
With kindness, both should be enough.
Come and prove yourself worthy.

Like Arwen, no one is worthy of her but the king.
Like Aragorn, heir he is but he had fought.
So come and reveal yourself
Let the true intent of the heart be laid.

Should evil be there, not even malice
Then parting ways is more than enough.
For neither is acceptable before the king
Never before the one who truly rules.
