Chocolate from Israel

I'm not fond of chocolates or sweets, but sometimes there are foods that I get to become fond of that just happened to be sweet. One of them is chocolate.

Tita and Perry just got back from attending Sukkot in Israel last week. As usual, Tita brought chocolates. I should've told them to bring hummus and other dried fruits. Hashtag regret. Tita brought dates though. Yey!

One of the chocolates I had was so sweet but its sweetness seems to have come from a different sweetener and not the usual white sugar. But there was one, a chocolate wafer, that I love. Its sweetness is just enough. I've been carefully taking and eating one every now and then.

The label is in Hebrew. I can't read it (I should ask my boss). But I love it. I want to take it back to Makati. I wonder if Tita has other stash. Hahaha

Italian Sausage

It's Sunday again and that means Legazpi Sunday Market is on. I love going to LSM. The market buzz just feels so nice. I love strolling and taking a look at the stalls. Many Sundays ago, I got to discover a Jewish stall called "Pick A Pita." Without second thoughts, I bought one of their products. I still remember it to be the Trio Breakfast, or something like that. I can point it among their products so I'm still sure which one I first bought.

The thing is, I'm very supportive of Jewish products. Besides, it's my taste of Israel. Literally. When I was told that their herbs are from Jerusalem, my mind quickly travelled to my dream city. I've always wanted to go to Israel, to be in Jerusalem. It's one of my goals for this year. I dare say and dream to celebrate Sukkot in Zion this year. Just the thought of it pumps me up.

For my brunch today, I bought Italian Sausage. Although I knew that they're not selling anything with pork, I still asked what their Italian sausage was made of. I was told it's chicken. Great! And it tastes great. I like how they're using a non-microwave oven. My food was not nuked. =)

Back at the Sunday Market

It was good to be back at the Legaspi Park Sunday Market. It's been a while. IT'S BEEN A WHILE!

I decided to have a quick stopover at the place last Sunday for some pita from an Israeli bakery called "Pick a Pita." I bought three. And I got to meet the owner, according to the sales personnel. Well, he kind of looked like a Jew to me.
